Visitors to the Taj Mahal will now have the unique experience of getting an aerial view of the monument of love from a suspended helium balloon.
The balloon, around 50 feet in diameter, will be held by ropes and people will be able to view the Mughal era monument from an attachment below it, said Ashok Jain, managing director of Kalakriti Center.
The Center has taken the initiative of launching the project in which the balloon placed at a distance of 2.1 km from the Taj will rise to a height of 500 feet above the ground.
For the 15 minute ride, Indian visitors will have to pay Rs 500 while foreigners will have to shell out Rs 1,500, said Jain.
For a night ride, the rates will be Rs 750 and Rs 2,000 respectively, he added.
