Following the completion of key global safety audit, conducted from August 28 to September 1, Vistara joined IATA's IOSA Registry on September 25, the airline said in a release.
The area of audit included corporate organisation and management, flight, cabin, ground handling and cargo operations, operational control, aircraft engineering and maintenance and operational security, it said.

The total accident rate for IOSA carriers between 2011 and 2015 was 3.3 times lower than the rate for non-IOSA operators.
The Delhi-based airline currently operates over 660 weekly flights to 21 destinations with a fleet of 16 Airbus A320 aircraft.
