Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan today filed a petition in the vigilance court here, seeking investigation against Chief Minister Oommen Chandy in a land deal case.
The 92-year-old CPI(M) leader himself reached the court to file the case, demanding a probe in the case after naming the Chief Minister as an accused.
Besides Chandy, five others, including former Chief Secretary E K Bharat Bhushan, have been named as accused in the petition.
The case has been posted to December 30.
The allegation is that the Chief Minister had helped a private firm in encroaching the government land at Pattoor for constructing a flat there.
The Chief Minister said he has no flat in the complex.
