Yadav was addressing a state-level progamme organized to mark wildlife protection week at Morni in district Panchkula near here, said an official release.
While referring to the steps being taken for protection and promotion of wildlife in Haryana, Yadav said three zoos have been set up in Peepli in district Kurukshetra, Rohtak and Bhiwani.
A master plan has been prepared for upgrading these zoos in a planned manner on the directions of Central Zoo Authority, New Delhi, and these zoos would be equipped with modern facilities.
He said Chinkara and Peacock Breeding Centre at Jhabua in district Rewari has been set up over 80 per cent acre area of reserved forest.
As many as Rs 20 crore would be spent on this centre and during the current financial year, Rs 47.20 lakh would be spent on this centre.
