West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi today conveyed his greetings to the people of the state on the eve of the Bengali new year.
'Poila Boishak' marks the beginning of the Bengali New Year, a significant day in the lives of the people of West Bengal, Tripathi said in a message released from his official residence at Raj Bhawan.
"May the Bengali New Year bring with it peace and prosperity to all people of the state. I Pray that this New Year fulfils the hopes and desires of the entire people of West Bengal.
"On this auspicious occasion, I convey my heartiest greetings to the people of West Bengal and Bengalis all over the country as also abroad and wish them a happy, prosperous and joyful new year, Tripathi said.
