We aim to carry on the momentum, says Koevermans

Hoping to carry on the winning momentum, Indian football team coach Wim Koevermans today said his wards were looking for a win tomorrow against a competitive Pakistan.
"We are looking for a win, but expect Pakistan to be competitive once again. We aim to carry on the momentum and expect a good match," he told reporters here.
The team intends to improve its style of football in the next game, Koevermans said.
"The manner in which we react and behave when we have the ball and when we don't have the ball will be significant and help us develop for the future," he added.

Koevermans said there has been a huge improvement in their game after the team assembled here for a camp.
"There has been a huge improvement in our game from day one when we all assembled in Bangalore. We had to bring the Team tactically to one platform. But at the same, there are a few things which we can do better from our first match against Pakistan. We need to make sure that we do it better," he said.

Reacting to a query as to whether India are over-dependent on captain Sunil Chhetri, Koevermans said, "There's no denying he scores but at the same time there are others who gets into scoring opportunities. We are paying special attention to the aspect of finishing. That's an area of improvement for sure. Games are the test which help us define ourselves," he said.

On the replacement of striker Robin Singh in tomorrow's match, Koevermans said, "We will make a change but would not reveal it to the press. Wait and watch tomorrow."
Robin will be missing the final match as he was given marching orders for receiving his second yellow card in the previous match.
Koevermans said it was a proud moment for those six players who made their debut for Indian in the last match.
"It was such a proud moment for them, making debut for Team India. I didn't realise it but that's never the way I select my team. If the six played, they played because they deserved it. I am so happy for the boys," he said.

Also the debutants will not forget their first international game, especially against arch-rivals Pakistan, Koevermans said.
"It is a match they will never forget. In fact, no player ever forgets his first international match. And they played in such a wonderful atmosphere. It was a full stadium, live on national television and it was against Pakistan," he said.
