Bangladesh women captain Jahanara Alam says her team does not lack batting firepower but their problem has been execution in the ongoing World Twenty20.
"It is not that we don't have the fire power. Our batswomen have strength and technique, but we are not able to utilize these traits. We need to utilize them and I hope as we gain experience, we could succeed," she said after her team's 36-run defeat against England.
Replying to a query, Jahanara expressed disappointment with team's fielding after dropping three catches in today's match.
"I am not happy with our fielding today. We dropped three catches. We need to focus on our fielding going into the next game," she said.
Meanwhile England Captain and Player Of The Match, Charlotte Edwards, said she is "not concerned" about giving far too many runs against Bangladesh in the last few overs.
"We are pleased with our win going into the next game," she said.
"Obviously rebuilding is the strategy and in T20 rebuilding can be done in just one over. However, Bangladesh spinners bowled well in the middle overs," she said.
Edwards said the team was not looking at improving the run-rate, but focusing on winning matches to qualify.
"We are not looking at improving run rate, but looking at the positives of the game which we played today. We are looking at next two games," she said.
Edwards further said Bangladesh should be given credit for improving from the last match against India.
"They came back fighting."
Edwards also felt that "140 and above is going to be enough and tough proposition for the opponents to chase.
