Wheat up on buying by flour mills

Wheat prices rose by Rs 5 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today due to increased offtake by flour mills against fall in supplies from producing belts.
Traders said increased offtake by flour mills and a decline in supplies from producing regions mainly led to the rise in wheat prices.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) inched up by Rs 5 to Rs 1,545-1,550 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded higher by the same margin to Rs 1,550-1,555 per 90 kg.
Maida was also seen in demand and ended higher at Rs 915-930 from previous level of Rs 890-910 per 50 kg.

Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 10,400, Shri Lal Mahal 10,000, Super Basmati Rice 9,500, Basmati common new 8,600-9,800, Rice Pusa-(1121) new 7,400-9,800, Permal raw 2,150-2,200, Permal wand 2,200-2,300, Sela 2,600-2,700 and Rice IR-8-1,800-1,850, Bajra 1,245-1,250, Jowar yellow 1,400-1,420, white 2,325-2,525, Maize 1,215-1,220, Barley 1,320-1,330.
