When 'Macchli' roared on screen

The celebrated tigress of Ranthambore 'Macchli' roared once again, albeit this time it was for 'reel' and not real!
The Jawahar Kala Kendra here last evening hosted a special screening of the 60-minute docudrama on the tigress, who died in 2016.
Rajasthan Minister for Forest and Environment Gajendra Singh as well as other dignitaries were preset at the screening of the film.
The film, shot by wildlife filmmaker S Nallamuth, is scheduled to be telecast on National Geographic Channel on February 26 at 8 pm.
"Till her death, Machhli remained the unparallelled Queen of Ranthambore having outwitted massive opponents and living longer than any other tigress," the filmmaker said.

Considered as the oldest tigress to have survived in the wild, she aged 20 when she died in 2016. In fact, her survival was marked by great instances, like the one where she fought a 14-foot long crocodile to protect her cubs.
The plot of the film follows the rise, fall and death of the beloved star of Ranthambore.
