The petrol pump outlets also strictly follow the order "no helmet no petrol" here even as many of them ire of the local people.
Rourkela SP Anirudh Singh had different opinion about 'making aware then implement'. "Whether you are going to your office or to fill your bike, you are supposed to wear the helmet, it is the rule. And we are simply implementing that."
Regarding the car drivers the SP said, "the driver and the rider have to wear the seat belt and this we are going to implement it very soon."
Yesterday the Rourkela police had collected over Rs. 23,000 through challans and out of that Rs 17,000 were collected in petrol outlets.
