The body of her husband Faizal (35) with deep cuts on his neck was lying inside the house while that of Selena (28) and the child Mohammed Fahim were found in a well near their house at Athani this morning, police said.
Selena, who was mentally challenged, could have killed her husband, police said, quoting her relatives.
They said her mother-in-law saw her jumping into the well and alerted the neighbours. But both mother and son drowned by the time Fire and Rescue Service personnel reached the spot on being informed.
