Woman, daughter killed as boulder falls on house

A woman and her daughter were killed and two other family members were seriously injured when a huge boulder fell on their house in village Saloring near Bhabanagar in Himachal Pradesh's tribal Kinnaur district.
The tragedy struck last night when the family was asleep, Kinnaur Deputy Commissioner D.D.Sharma said.
The deceased were identified as Vijay Laxmi (31) and her daughter Priyanshi (2) while the injured Parka Devi (65) and Divyanshi (4) were rushed to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Bhawanagar.
The Deputy Commissioner said that an immediate relief of Rs 10,000 has been given to next of kin of each victim while gratuitous relief of Rs 1.5 lakhs would be disbursed to the deceased and Rs 15,000 to the injured.

In another mishap, one person was killed while 17 others were injured, one of the critically when a bus skidded off the road and rolled down into fields near Chhakoh in, 40-Km from district headquarter at Bilaspur.
The critically injured person has been rushed to IGMC hospital at Shimla while 16 others were admitted to the hospital at Bilaspur, Deputy Commissioner, Ajay Sharma said.
