Paanbai's condition deteriorated after the doctors were about to complete the operation, following which she was rushed to the district hospital, but she died en route, police said.
"Prima facie, it appears that the woman died due to some kind of reaction after she was administered an anaesthesia injection," Block Medical Officer Dr R K Shukla said.
A detailed probe is on to find the exact cause of her death, the BDO added.
Meanwhile, villagers present at the camp alleged that no proper arrangements were made to organise the camp and even the anaesthesia injections were being administered by inexperienced persons which resulted in this incident.
