Woman duped of Rs 3.7 lakh on pretext of getting govt job for

A woman was duped of over Rs 3 lakh by two men, who promised to get her 23-year-old son a government job here, police said today.
According to a complaint filed by Maya, a resident of Jaiva village in Ballabgarh, accused P K Dhawan of Delhi and Than Singh of Bharat Colony here, had taken Rs 3,70,000 from her on the pretext of getting her son a government job, they said.
The amount was paid about a year ago in installments.
Later on, when she asked for her money back, none of the two agreed to pay the amount.
The woman, who works with Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, then filed a complaint with the police yesterday.
A case has been registered with Old Faridabad Police Station against the accused under sections 420, 406 and 34 of the IPC.
Investigating officer Ramesh Chandra said that the police have started investigation in the case. No arrests have been made till now.
