A 35-year-old woman was found dead with injuries on her head and private parts in West Bengal's West Medinipur district on Saturday, police said.
The body was found in Rangtia village in Keshiyari police station area, an officer said.
It is suspected that the accused had hit the woman with a heavy object on her head and private parts, he said.
According to an FIR lodged by the deceased's uncle, she had been "tortured" by her in-laws over domestic issues.
A case has been registered and an investigation is on, the officer said, adding that a manhunt has been launched to nab the deceased's husband and in-laws.
