The ghastly incident took place at Lalpokhra village falling under Sadar police station where Deepak Kumar Rai (35) flew into a rage this morning when his mother Urmila Devi declined to give him money for purchasing alcohol, a banned item now in Bihar, in-charge of the police station Chitaranjan Thakur said.
He said Rai was caught hold of by his neighbours who learnt about the horrendous crime and they shut him inside a room until police arrived at the spot and arrested him.
