NMA Advisor Rosemary Dziivichii told PTI from Tuensang that "a delegation of Naga mothers had reached Tuensang this evening to take part in a peace meeting with the leaders of NSCN(K) in Pangsha, but we are shocked to learn about the encounter between the Assam Rifles and NSCN(K)."
"We are deeply saddened that a woman health worker was killed and another woman (a SSA teacher) sustained bullet injuries," she said.
Clashes between the NSCN(K) and the Assam Rifles have become frequent after the former abrogated the 14-year-old ceasefire agreement with the Centre in March this year.
