Woman, son killed over property dispute

A 45-year-old woman and her son were allegedly beaten to death in Jarwa here over a property dispute, police said on Friday.

The incident took place on Thursday in Karaili village where some persons attacked Phoolmati and her son Shailesh (18) with sticks, seriously injuring the duo, they said.

Both of them were rushed to a hospital, where they succumbed, police said.

The incident was stated to be fallout of a land dispute within the family, they said.

Superintendent of Police Dev Ranjan Verma said that an FIR has been registered in the matter and attempts are on to nab those involved in the incident.
