Archana, a resident of West Bengal and married to Dodram of Atariya locality, used to work as a domestic help in the area to make ends meet. This was, however, not liked by her in-laws, police said.
Yesterday, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law with the help of a neighbour beat her, shaved her head and took her around the locality to humiliate her, police said.
On the complaint of the victim and her husband, a case has been filed on the directions of the SSP.
Also, neighbour Ram Chandra Yadav has been arrested, while a hunt was on for the remaining accused, police added.
