A 21-year-old man from Chhattisgarh died in a blast at an explosives manufacturing unit near here Monday, police said.
The explosion occurred in a room on the unit's premises.
The worker was handling a bottle containing some chemical which is used as raw material to fill detonators, they said.
The bottle apparently fell down and due to its impact, the other 48 bottles stored in the room exploded.
The chemical from each bottle is used to fill 3,000 detonators, police said.
The worker, who was alone in the room, was blown to pieces in the impact of the blast, a senior police official said.
The deceased hailed from Bastar district of Chhattisgarh.
