Working to bring changes in lives of policemen: Fadnavis

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today listed out various measures being undertaken by his government to bring change in the lives of police personnel.
Fadnavis inaugurated the new administrative building of the office of Superintendent of Police as well as technologically-advanced crime investigation centre at Ahmednagar.
"We are working to bring changes through various initiatives in the lives of our policemen who selflessly, tirelessly work for people and society," the CM said after the function.
He said the government has chalked out a plan to provide houses of their own to police personnel so that they are not left homeless after retirement.

"We have included policemen in 'PM Awas Yojna' too and are also providing best healthcare facilities and skill training to their family members.
"We have brought technology to give better work environment and modernise our force. All police stations in state are now online with CCTNS (crime and criminal tracking network and systems)," the CM added.
He said that a e-complaint facility has been launched in Pune on a pilot basis and process is on to replicate the same across state.
Fadnavis also said that cyber laboratories are being established in each district of state. "With these initiatives, we are able to punish 52 offenders out of 100 (and 32 for serious offences). Earlier this number was 9 only.
