YCMOU donates Rs 10 lakh for Jammu & Kashmir flood relief

The city-based Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) today donated Rs 10 lakh to Prime Minister's Relief Fund for rehabilitation work in flood-ravaged Jammu and Kashmir.
A cheque of Rs 10 lakh was handed over to Governor Vidyasagar Rao, who is Chancellor of universities in the State, by Vice-Chancellor of YCMOU Manikrao Salunkhe for forwarding it to the PMO.
The donation has been made in response to an appeal made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to help in rehabilitating the flood victims and rebuild the damaged infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir, a YCMOU release said.
