Young Indian couple charred to death in Dubai house fire

A young Indian couple has been charred to death when a fire broke out in their flat here in what police suspect a "criminal act", media reports said today.
A call was received yesterday afternoon about the fire in an apartment on the second floor of the residential building in Al Hamriya area.
Fire crews found the bodies of a young woman and man completely burnt inside the room. Dubai Police then sent criminal investigation and forensic teams to the site.
The Indian couple, who was not identified, charred to death in a house fire in Dubai yesterday could have been murdered, emirates247.Com news site said reported.

"We have thought of an accident or a suicide but we have established that there is a criminal act," Arabic daily Emirat Al Youm newspaper quoted a police source as saying.
A security source told the Arabic daily that the likelihood of suicide was also considered.
The families of the deceased have been handed over the bodies after the completion of forensic tests. Further investigations were underway.
