Himachal Youth Congress activists staged a protest outside the state assembly on Monday.
They raised slogans against the Jai Ram Thakur-led state government and tried to gherao the assembly.
The state president of the Youth Congress, Manish Thakur, said the protest was being held against "increasing unemployment", "bid to relax Section 118 of the HP Tenancy and Land Reforms Act" and the "deteriorating law and order situation".
Earlier in the day, the Youth Congress activists gathered at Chaura Maidan of Shimla to hold "Yuva Aakrosh Rally" in the presence of their national president BV Srinivas.
