Youth gets 10 year jail term for abducting, raping minor girl

A local court here has sentenced a youth to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment for abducting and raping a minor girl in 2008.
Additional District Sessions judge Abhimanun imposed a fine of Rs one lakh on the convict, Arun Kumar, after holding him guilty under section 363, 366 and 376 IPC here yesterday.
The court also directed the convict to pay of Rs 50,000 from the fine amount as compensation to the victim.
A 14-year-old girl was abducted and raped by Kumar at Anti village in the district on September 13, 2008.
