Youth killed in celebratory firing in Punjab

An 18-year-old youth was killed in an alleged incident of celebratory firing near Lakho Ke Behram area here, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday at a marriage palace located along Ferozepur-Fazilka road here, they said.
Jugraj Singh, a resident of Ferozeshah village, sustained bullet injury in the head during celebratory firing by a guest, Gurwinder Singh. He was rushed to the civil hospital here where doctors declare him brought dead, they said.
An FIR has been registered against Gurwinder, a resident of Chuhar Khalchian village, under Section 302 (murder) of the IPC and the Arms Act, SHO of Lakho Ke Behram Police station, Pardeep Singh said.

However, no arrest has been made so far, police said.
