A youth today attempted to immolate himself in front of a police station here after the cops allegedly denied to register his complaint.
Vikas Kumar, aged around 30 years, took out petrol from his motorcycle and poured it on his body before setting himself ablaze in front of Kotwali police station.
Onlookers and policemen immediately doused the flames and rushed him to a nearby hospital where he is being treated.
"Kumar has alleged that policemen on duty refused to take his complaint so he took the extreme step. The matter is being probed," DSP Surendra Danodia said.
