Youth urged to play for global peace

Eminent people have called upon the youth to play a greater role for global peace and better future.
The call was given by distinguished speakers at a symposium here last evening.
Emiment poet, literary critic and former bureaucrat, Dr Sitakanta Mahapatrar said peace was the prime need of mankind at this juncture to ensure balanced development.
Anup Kumar Dash, Director, National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), stressed the need for a fundamental shift in our thinking and approach to life and happiness.
Dr Iti Samanta, eminent writer said "a major force for good lies with the youth. They can drive the world in positive direction by countering feelings of hatred, inequality and violence. Women also play a vital role in social reform for they propagate harmony.
