Cotton Tech Mission

Textiles secretary Prabhat Kumar on Thursday said the government plans to launch a technology mission on cotton soon. The countrys total fabric production is currently 30,000 million sqm and there was an urgent need to produce quality material to compete internationally, Kumar said while opening an eco-testing laboratory, set up by Northern India Textile Research Association with assistance of textiles ministry, at Ghaziabad, UP.
