Demand for professionals in ITES has grown remarkably, whereas, IT-software and IT-hardware showed downward movement of 14 per cent and 15 per cent respectively. Among the metros, Chennai is the only city which witnessed an upward movement of seven per cent in the latest index.
Cities such as Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru and Hyderabad recorded decline respectively in the YoY chart of Naukri Job Speak Index for July 2016. According to V Suresh, chief sales officer of Naukri.com, after an impressive 22 per cent YoY growth in June 2016, although the index for July showed a muted growth of just three per cent, the slow and steady growth in non-IT sectors such auto, hospitality, education and health care augured well. He added that the trend was likely to continue.
