England reached its first major international tournament final after a gap of 55 years as the three lions registered a win against Denmark in the second semi-final of Euro 2020 at the Wembley Stadium, London. England will clash Italy in the final of the European Championship on 12th July at 12:30 AM IST at the Wembley Stadium. Harry Kane scored a 104th minute goal to give England a 2-1 win over Denmark in European Championship semifinals.

Italy's road to Euro 2020 final

Kane slotted home the rebound after Denmark keeper Kasper Schmeichel had saved his spot-kick which England earned after Raheem Sterling went down following a slight contact in the Danish penalty area.

It was harsh on Schmeichel, who was magnificent all game, but the result did justice to an England side that totally dominated the second half and extra time of the match.

39th minute: Kjaer own goal helps England to score the equaliser

Denmark is foxed by a similar play down the right flank with a low cross into the box, just moments after Sterling almost equalised. Kane's perfect pass splits the Danish defence, allowing Saka to sprint down the flank. The cutback from the Arsenal midfielder is intended for Sterling, who is unmarked in the middle of the box, but it hits the Danish captain and sails into the net. The Three Lions have reached a truce!

30th minute: Denmark takes the lead as Demsgaard converts the free-kick

Denmark has made it, and what a way to make it! The Sampdoria forward steps up and side-foots a curling strike that clears the wall from roughly 22 metres away and just to the left of goal. As it flies into the net's roof, the flying Pickford can only manage the tiniest of touches to the attempt. For the first time in the competition, England concedes to the first goal scored directly from a free-kick at UEFA EURO 2020.
