IND vs AUS 3rd Test, Day 2 Live Score: The second day comes to an end

 

An exciting day of cricket has come to an end which saw 16 wickets fall with Australia being bowled out for 197 and then India getting all out for 163 in their second innings. For Australia, Nathan Lyong picked 8-64 while Cheteshwar Pujara top-scored with 59 for the hosts. 

 

The start of the Indian innings was decent with the opening pair surviving the first four overs before lunch. But straight after Lunch, Shubman Gill gifted his wicket trying to step out and hit Lyon. This opened the floodgates as wickets fell one after another.

 

Shreyas Iyer counterattacked with a 27-ball 26. He added 35 with Pujara before being caught brilliantly by Khawaja at short mid-wicket off the bowling of Mitchell Starc. Pujara tried his best to steer the ship but another brilliant catch by Steve Smith in leg slip saw his back. In the end, India were all-out with Siraj being the last man to fall. Axar Patel remained not out on 15. 

 

Australia would need 77 runs to win the match and stay alive in the four-match series.

There was a turn from Kuhnemann and it suggests that the afternoon session is going to be incredible. The Indian team trail by 75 runs currently.
