Sify slashes call rates to Gulf to Rs 9/min

Sify has dropped international call rates to Gulf countries to Rs 9 a minute from across 70 cities in India. Sify is among the largest internet network and e-Commerce services companies in India, offering end-to-end solutions with a comprehensive range of products delivered over a common internet backbone infrastructure.
 
Sify has slashed call rates up to 23 per cent for calls to Bahrain, Oman, Iran, Saudi Arabia and UAE. Call rate to Saudi Arabia - Riyadh and Jeddah is now Rs 6.35 a minute. With this change the maximum call rate to any country in the Middle East will be Rs 9 a minute, according to a press release.
 
Shrikant Joshi, president, access media, said, "Sify was the first to launch high quality Net telephony in India with the prime objective of making international calls affordable for users. The new rates are in line with this objective. With rates as low as Rs 9 a minute to UAE, Rs 2.99 a minute to the US, UK and Canada, Sify users can now speak more often and for longer as well as enjoy voice quality ."
 
Call rates to Nigeria, Bangladesh, Kenya have also been slashed. Sify now offers the most economical prices for international calls in India today. Calls to USA, UK, and Canada are at Rs 2.99 per minute.
 
The Sify Talk International call service, available at Sify iWay cyber cafes and the recently launched Sify Telecentres, provides high quality international voice calls.
