Tata Tele offers bill payment service through SMS

Tata Teleservices today announced the launch of a pre-paid top-up and post-paid bill payment services through SMS.

The company has entered into a partnership with mChek to offer this service in the doemstic telecom space, a company statement issued here said.

The payment can be made using credit cards, the release said.

To avail the service subscribers have to send an SMS from their Tata Indicom mobile phone. They will then receive an a automated call back on the phone to register their credit card number and approval for the transaction, the statement added.
