Let's admit it: We have all seen people struggle with tablets. Some struggle to hold them properly, some struggle to fit them in their back pockets (some miraculously manage to fit them in), while some put them against their ears (Yes, big tablets! Size is not a hindrance) and make calls, forgetting all this while to use a simple invention - headphones.

We all make snafus while handling tablets. But Lenovo's Yoga tablets seem to have an answer for this. Adding to its popular line of tablets, Lenovo recently launched the Yoga Tab 2 - this time in three different Android models and a Windows-based model.

We worked on the Android variant. Here's the lowdown on the new Yoga Tab 2.

Look! No hands
The Yoga Tab 2 comes with a new, more effective and bigger kickstand. So apart from the existing 'stand', 'hold' and 'tilt' modes, users can now experience the new 'hang' mode. The new kickstand provides a solid grip on the tab. It also comes with a cut-out in the kickstand that lets you take hassle-free pictures. You can use the cut-out to hang the device anywhere - kitchen walls, living room and so on. More importantly, you can use the Yoga Tab 2 seamlessly while it 'hangs'. Don't worry, we tried this foolproof feature without dropping the tab. While using it in the 'tilt' mode we also noticed that reading online and watching videos was relaxing.

Strong speakers, rich display
When you have an audio output that is aided by Dolby Audio and Master-HiFi quality CODEC hardware, then rest assured that the entertainment experience will be worth it. The Yoga Tab 2 has two front-facing speakers that pack a punch.

The display, with a resolution of 1,920x1,200 pixels or 283 pixels an inch (eight-inch variant), on the capacitive touchscreen comes with a 10-point multitouch.

Processor, extended battery life
Running on Android KitKat (4.4), the Yoga Tab 2 is backed by a 2GB RAM and a fourth-generation Intel Atom processor. One of the features that I thought stood out on the Tab was its distinct notifications hub. It has been classified nicely and is very subtle.

The Yoga Tab 2 comes with a 6,400mAh battery that promises to provide enough juice for 18 hours.

Camera
The Yoga Tab 2 comes with a rear eight-megapixel (-MP) camera and a 1.6MP HD front-facing camera. We tried using Skype on the tab and it performed pretty smoothly, given the integrated microphone.

Worth a shot?
The Yoga Tab 2 series starts at Rs 20,990 and is also available in a Windows variant. What makes the Yoga Tab 2 different is its "portability" factor. Easy to move and easy to use!
