Telecom equipment vendor ZTE Telecom is eyeing 10-15 per cent market share of the country's $4 billion telecom vendor market through business from the 3G and Wimax sector.
"We have major plans for India and plan to grow by around 30 per cent every year and looking ahead for business from the 3G and Wimax sector," ZTE Chairman and Managing Director D K Ghosh told reporters today.
The process of auctioning radio frequency spectrum for third generation telephony has begun and would be followed by offer of spectrum for WiMax services.
ZTE in 2009-10 (April-March) achieved a turnover of $8.8 billion, of which 10 per cent came from Indian operations.
ZTE was also looking ahead to bid for BSNL re-tendering of 93 million GSM connections.
