Additional District Judge of Patna City court Suniti Kumar Singh found the nine guilty in the kidnapping of a restaurant owner for ransom in February 2010 and awarded life sentence to them.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 each on them.
The restaurant owner Bhagwat Neta was kidnapped from Kumhrar area of the city on February 21, 2010. His body was recovered eight days later from Danapur area.
In another case, a Hajipur resident was given seven years imprisonment in a case of rape in Shashtrinagar area here last year.
