Mitra said though advances had outpaced deposits in the first half of FY 2014, bankers need to intensify their efforts to increase the credit ratio to 70 per cent from 65 per cent by the end of March 2014.
Mitra also asked bankers to achieve a target of 12 lakh Kisan Credit Cards by March, 2014 at the state level bankers' meet review meeting.
Bankers have issued six lakh KCCs involving an amount of Rs 3474.20 crore.
