Jeep outlines a renewed regional roadmap with higher localisation, export expansion and focus on products and ownership experience amid intense competition in India's SUV market

Previously, Fiat Chrysler Automobile India operated in India but stopped production as its cars registered low sales volumes and increased competition

This means that Jeep Compass will now be sold as a diesel-only SUV in the country

The new Jeep Meridian, which is essentially a three-row extension of the Compass, is much more your full-fledged off-roader with a hard suspension and a larger frame

No further plan yet, FCA India will have to keep riding on this solo product at least till 2020
