French automaker Citroen has signed a memorandum of understanding with Refex Green Mobility Ltd, a subsidiary of diversified conglomerate the Refex Group, towards the procurement of 500 Citroen e-C3 electric vehicles. The largest order for Refex Green Mobility Ltd in South India signifies a major advancement in its collaboration with Citroen. Automaker Stellantis on Saturday said it has appointed Shailesh Hazela as CEO and Managing Director of India operations. Hazela succeeds Aditya Jairaj, who will be relocating to the US. Previously, Hazela served as Vice President, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain for India & Asia Pacific region for Stellantis. He brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in driving growth and innovation, the company said in a statement. French automaker Citroen on Friday said it has roped in former India cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni as its brand ambassador in India. Dhoni will mark his debut innings with Citroen in a campaign that will soon go live, the company said in a statement. Automaker Citroen India on Tuesday said it will increase price of its premium SUV C5 Aircross by up to 3 per cent from January next year to offset the impact of rising input costs. The effective price increase will be up to 3 per cent on the existing ex-showroom prices of the Feel and Shine variants of the model, the automaker said in a statement. A continued rise in the cost of commodities and ocean freight costs has necessitated this price increase of the vehicle, it added. The price of C5 Aircross currently starts at Rs 31.3 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Some carmakers have already announced a hike in vehicle prices from next month such as Maruti Suzuki and luxury automakers Audi and Mercedes-Benz.
