Construction of 250 houses out of 254 under PMAY ready in Goa: Official

The Goa government has completed the construction of 250 houses out of the target of 254 for eligible beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), an official said on Thursday. The project, aimed at providing affordable housing, has been implemented at a total cost of Rs 3.4 crore, the official said. Under the project, there was a target of constructing 254 houses for eligible beneficiaries in the state, said P K Shirodkar, nodal officer in-charge of the scheme and director of the District Rural Development Agency. "We have constructed 250 houses till date by meticulously following all the procedures under this scheme. The remaining four houses will be completed within the next two to three months," Shirodkar said. Maha govt to give additional Rs 50k subsidy for rural homes under PMAY

The Maharashtra government will give an additional subsidy of Rs 50,000 for homes in rural areas under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, which will take the total funding to Rs 2.1 lakh per household, state minister Jayakumar Gore said on Sunday. The state rural development minister said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has approved decision and provision for the subsidy has been made in the budget for 2025-26. Speaking in Dharashiv, he said, "The state government has decided to provide Rs 50,000 as an additional subsidy for the beneficiaries of PM awas yojana. With this, total financial support for a beneficiary would reach up to Rs 2.1 lakh. The state government will bear the cost of this additional subsidy." Gore also highlighted the government's commitment to complete 20 lakh housing units within a year, asserting that many individuals will soon see their dream to own homes realised. No PMAY houses for Telangana if Cong names scheme 'Indiramma': Bandi Sanjay

Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar said on Saturday that no houses would be sanctioned by the Centre if the Congress government in Telangana undertook housing for the poor in the name of 'Indiramma'. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday said that as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for housing for all, four crore poor people have been provided permanent houses in the country so far.
