Nutraplus India commissions API facility in Tarapur

Nutraplus India Ltd - a company focusing on contract manufacturing services for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) & intermediates and speciality chemicals – has started commercial production at its multipurpose API plant in Tarapur, Maharashtra. “The company successfully started commercial production in its Tarapur factory. The facilities set up are as per International Standards laid down for manufacturing of advanced pharma products,” said Nutraplus India on October 16, 2015 in a BSE filing. APIs manufactured in the new plant will be supplied to pharmaceutical companies for producing formulations in the analgesic and other therapeutic categories.
 
The commissioned facility will have capacity to produce 30 tonne per month (TPM), 10 TPM, 10 TPMA and 5 TPM of aceclofenac (analgesic and anti-inflammatory drug), lumefantrine (anti-malarial and anti-protozoal drug), ornidazole (anti-protozoal drug) and doxofylline (anti-asthmatic drug), respectively.
