What you shouldn't wait till after graduation to learn
.

The world is many things, but it does seem to distinctly lack in certain departments. For instance, financial literacy and money management isn’t properly taught in schools unless you major in finance or economics, but it makes up such a large part of society that it should be a core subject instead. Even first aid and how to take care of a newborn (for those who plan to start a family in the future) should be compulsory subjects. Don’t wait till you’re in the water to learn how to swim. Here are a few things that you should learn before you officially join the workforce and become an adult.
You will never get rich working for somebody else
It might sound like a bit of a conundrum, as there are CEOs and employees in high places that make a ton of money. It’s true that you can make something of a comfortable lifestyle for yourself if you are in certain professions such as construction or medine, but the truth is that you will never be filthy rich unless you are a celebrity, boss of a corporation, or financially literate.
Being financially independent is a dream that many people work years to achieve, but the secret lies in investor intelligence. When you learn how to make your money work for you, you’ll have unlocked one of the key passive incomes that will set you on the path of being free from financial chains that society strives to keep us in.
Settling down doesn’t have to be your goal
It’s an age old adage - you get a good degree, a good job, find a good partner, start a family. It actually doesn’t have to be that way, and it’s better for you to come to terms with it before graduating or else you’ll spend too much time chasing after something that you’ve been told that you want. College is a time to truly discover yourself and if you’re not sure what you want, you’re better off exploring your options that going down the traditional path because too many people end up in loveless marriages, tied down with the responsibilities of raising a family and too trapped in the illusion of what the human experience entails to break free.
Don’t get lost trying to find your soul mate because you are your own soul mate. You are the soul your body was given as a mate for this life, so don’t squander it trying to look for another piece of the puzzle. Understand that you are whole, you are enough, and if starting a family is your heart’s desire, by all means, go for it, but it isn’t your only option. Just because someone is married at 25 doesn’t mean that you are a failure because you’re single at 35. It just means that you took a different path. Life is a unique experience and we should treat it as such rather than follow blindly like a herd of sheep, doing what we think we should do, rather than what we want to do.
