New Delhi, April 21 (ANI): Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) workers in Delhi protested outside Congress Headquaters on Monday after Congress' Amritsar candidate Captain Amarinder Singh giving a clean chit to Jagdish Tytler, said that riot victims in Delhi had initially not named Tytler for leading the mobs that went on a rampage in the national capital. Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has described Singh's remark on 1984 riots accused as "shameful and shocking". Meanwhile, BJP leaders in Amritsar cancelled a scheduled press conference on Sunday to protest against Singh. SAD workers tried to break the police barricades outside the Congress office, following which the police used water cannons in order to stop the protestors.
