Glenmark Pharmaceuticals on Tuesday said it has launched the lung cancer treatment drug Tevimbra in India, following the approval by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation.
Tevimbra is developed by BeiGene (now BeOne Medicines), a global oncology leader. This launch marks Glenmark's first foray into immune-oncology in India and is a major milestone in expanding its innovative oncology portfolio, the company said in a regulatory filing.
"At a time when the cancer burden is rising sharply, we are proud to enable oncologists and patients to access Tevimbra, a therapy with proven efficacy and safety outcomes, strong science, and meaningful impact," Glenmark Pharmaceuticals President and Business Head India Formulations Alok Malik said.

The Andhra Pradesh police on Tuesday seized YSRCP chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's bulletproof vehicle, which was allegedly involved in an accident during his recent tour of Rentapalla village in Palnadu district.
On June 18, Reddy visited Rentapalla to meet the family of a party leader who had died by suicide a year ago, allegedly due to harassment by TDP leaders and police'.
Though the police had granted permission for a limited number of vehicles, several joined Reddy's convoy, and thousands of people gathered along the route from Tadepalli to Rentapalla.
Subsequently, a YSRCP supporter, C Singayya, allegedly fell under a vehicle and died in the melee at Etukuru village.
Guntur district superintendent of police S Satish initially said that Singayya fell under a private vehicle, not under Reddy's convoy.

The Indian Embassy in Iran said on Tuesday that it is  "winding up" the evacuations initiated during the military conflict between Iran and Israel after a ceasefire was reached between the two nations.
In a thread on X, however, the Embassy said India is closely monitoring the situation and will revise its strategy if Indian nationals face any security threats.
"Since there has been an announcement of ceasefire, the Embassy is gradually winding up the evacuation exercise initiated during the military conflict in Iran," it said.
"Hence the Embassy has closed the contact desk that was opened to register new names for evacuation. At the same time, Govt. of India is keeping a careful eye on the evolving situation, & will reassess its strategy in case there is again a threat to the security of Indian nationals in Iran," it added.

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) on Friday presented a Rs 40,187 crore-budget for the megapolis.

The Rajya Sabha on Thursday returned the Finance Bill 2025 to the Lok Sabha, along with 35 government amendments, including one that abolishes a 6 per cent digital tax on online advertisements, thus completing the 2025-26 budgetary exercise that started on February 1.

Earlier in the day, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had moved the two bills in the House.
