Aspect Software to acquire Voxeo for $150 million

The acquisition agreement is expected to accelerate Aspect's delivery of cloud, hybrid and premise-based deployments

IT firm Aspect Software today said it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Voxeo for about $150 million (over Rs 890 crore).

 

Voxeo provides hosted and on-premise Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and communications enabled business processes. It works with 45,000 companies and half of the Fortune 100 firms from its headquarters in Orlando, Beijing, Cologne, and London.

 

"Today's consumers are demanding more from the brands they interact with, taking more control over when, where and how they conduct that engagement and enterprises are responding by seeking out vendors who can help them address these changes in the market," Aspect President and GM (Interaction Management Division) Chris Koziol said.

 

The approximately $150 million acquisition agreement is expected to accelerate Aspect's delivery of cloud, hybrid and premise-based deployments, the company said in a statement.

 

The acquisition of Voxeo furthers Aspect's continued commitment to provide innovative technology and solutions that support customers' efforts to transform and deliver remarkable customer experiences, he added.

 

The acquisition will also provide data centre infrastructure and network operation centre (NOC) capabilities that will help expand regional delivery of Aspect's cloud solutions and SaaS (Software as a service) hosting capabilities.

 

Voxeo will also bring a highly skilled executive team and employee base that will help Aspect's customers.

 

Aspect's fully-integrated solution unifies customer interaction management, workforce optimisation and back-office, the statement added.
