Joe King, head, Audi India, said, “The fuel efficiency of the Audi A6 35 TFSI is increased by 12.7 per cent and the power is further increased by five per cent”. Audi claims the new A6 can return a mileage of 15.26 kmpl.
Audi is fighting to regain the top spot in India and has lined up 10 launches for the year. Rival Mercedes-Benz dethroned Audi in the March quarter to take the lead though Audi remained on the top for the last financial year. Audi closed last year with sales of 10,851 vehicles, higher than Mercedes-Benz’s 10,201 units and BMW’s 6,812 units. But, in the first quarter of this year, Mercedes beat all with sales of 3,556 vehicles against Audi’s 3,181.
