B Surender Mohan today assumed office as the new Chairman and Managing Director of Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC).
Prior to his new role, 56-year-old Mohan was serving as the Mines Director. He replaces A R Ansari who has superannuated, Neyveli Lignite Corporation said in a statement.
"Mohan assumed office at a function held today," it said.
A recipient of many awards, Mohan also trained in the various institutes located in France and Italy. He has also presented many papers on the mining industry at various conferences held in Washington DC, USA, and in Poland, the statement added.
