The total income, which includes net sales and other income, for the period has also declined by 18% to Rs 1,201.42 crore as against Rs 1,465.22 crore in the year ago period. The operating profit, however, has shown a rise of 12.42% to Rs 143.73 crore against Rs 127.85 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The quarterly results of subsidiary company such as BEL Optronic Devices Ltd and joint venture companies like GE BE Pvt Ltd and BEL Multitone Pvt Ltd are not included in the results.
The board of directors of the company at a meeting held today declared an interim dividend of Rs 6 per share for the year 2013-14.
