CNI plans to manufacture its products in India by '05

| Speaking at a press conference on the company's foray into Andhra Pradesh, CNI India senior manager Vincent Selvarajoo said, "The company plans to set up a coffee plant and also a factory which would manufacture facial products. The plans are still at the preliminary stages and we expect the facilities to come up by the end of 2005." |
| In Andhra Pradesh, the company has opened three distribution centres that would cater to the needs of 300 distributors. |
| CNI International had started its operation in 1986 in Indonesia and is at present headquartered in Malaysia. The company started its Indian operations in 2002 at Bangalore. |
| The company recorded a global turnover of $300 million for 2003-04 and expects to maintain a growth rate of around 30 per cent during the current financial year also. |
| Selvarajoo said that according to the country's Vision 2010, it aims to achieve a global turnover of $1 billion with 10 million distributors. |
| "India would be a major player that would help us in achieving our vision. We expect around $300 million turnover to come from our Indian operations by 2010," he said. |
| The company also plans to increase its staff to around 100 from the existing 25 by the end of 2005. The other expansion plans of the company include setting up of a branch in Guwahati in December and to have branches across the country by 2010. |
| CNI India is currently marketing 10 products out of a total product portfolio of 300. "We would be launching seven to 10 products next year," Selvarajoo said. |
